Now that my kids are older: The Boy is trying to become A MAN, so he's moved out into the cold, cruel world...not really, he just moved up north. He is definitely proving to be my child. He moved far enough so that we can't just drop in, but close enough for us to visit. The Brat...well, she's going to be a real-live, fire breathing TEENAGER this year. And although she still wants to hang out with me sometimes, more and more she & her friends are making plans for sushi and a movie. (Oh, to be in L.A.)
It seems like half the people I know are having babies. Sweet smelling, smiling, chubby cheeked BABIES. And every time I see one, my uterus contracts. And I think, I am still young(ish)! I could totally do that again.
And then I think of the PREGNANCY, the projectile vomiting, the ridiculous mood swings and the hips as big as Texas. But then, that's a small price to pay, right? After all the payoff is a living breathing version of you/your husband (my kids DON'T look like me. AT ALL), that you can
Umm...yeah. I want to have YOUR baby. Give 'em here. I'll play with them, babysit them, kiss their chubby little cheeks. Hell, I'll even change their diapers. Then I'll fill them full of junk food and send 'em home.
Just call me Aunt Lynnie.

Your daughter like sushi??! She IS growing up. ;)
Yep, I don't think I need any children. I hope to be the Cool Aunt to my brothers' kids one day. I definitely will tell my nieces and nephews (when they are older) ridiculous stories about their parents. But not too sure if I will change their diapers. Ha!
Well.... I could give you mine but he's 7 and not so squishy anymore.
Mine is still squishy, but he is two so not so much fun. Still, he is very chubby and lovable and on second thought I kind of like him still. However, should you feel the need to love on two teens and a nine year old, they are SO yours.
I had my neighbor across the street have my 3rd daughter. Wasn't that great planning on my part? Ha! It really is perfect I get to babysit the girls get to teach her bad habits then we send her home. :-)
i am still trying to get use to the idea that i may want a child some day in the future. saw what gal pals go through, really horrible.
I feel the exact same way. Love to borrow them, don't want to keep them!
Baby number two is being planned on for the near future, so I'll keep this in mind! Oh, and no backing out- you're committed now.
ALL I have to say is that I am almost 40 and MOST of my friends are going to Tuscany this year as their CHILDREN graduate High School and COLLEGE while I waited late in life to have children...I get to stay HOME! HMMM so I will travel again when I am 60ish or so! UGGG GIRL you have FREEDOM! HMMMMM plus seriously....sometimes IT is like I am their GRANDMOTHER when I meet the OTHER MOMS in MOM groups and such! Antique MOMMY! I am pretty SURE that I am the OLDEST MOMMY in my 4 year OLDS pre K class! SERIOUSLY it is NOT THAT FUN! LOL LOL
